Our Story

ESTABLISHED 2000

At the Callicoon Farmers’ Market, you will find many farms in addition to food producers and artisans offering wine, hard cider, pasta, condiments, prepared foods, baked goods, ice cream, jam, honey, maple syrup, herbal tea blends, skin care products, pottery, woodwork and much more.

Callicoon is a ‘producer only market’ meaning all vendors either grow or produce their own goods and operate within 75 miles ensuring patrons are only purchasing the freshest, highest quality, locally produced goods. When you shop our farmers’ market, you help support a local economy, keeping money within our towns and communities.

The beauty of any farmers’ market is the direct contact between consumer and vendor. You, as customers, can ask questions, learn about the farmers’ growing practices or find out how your favorite craft is made. The Callicoon Farmers’ Market is happy to reconnect the farmer with the consumer and to give selling opportunities for area craftspeople. We serve to educate the community about eating seasonally and locally while fostering social gathering and community activity.

While in town, enjoy the many shops, restaurants and movie theatre this Delaware River town has to offer. Thinking of taking the drive? It’s worth every minute. The Callicoon Farmers’ Market is not just a place to shop, it’s a destination.

There are no trashcans in the park so, please, pack in/pack out. DO NOT LITTER.

Producer-Only Integrity

The Callicoon Farmers’ Market is committed to the integrity of our local food system. We are a producer-only market, meaning what you see is what the vendor has grown, raised, or made themselves within a 75-mile radius. This ensures peak freshness and directly supports our regional economy.

Local Economy

Every dollar spent at the market stays within our community, empowering local farmers and small-scale artisans to thrive.

Community Connection

We cultivate a space where neighbors meet, stories are shared, and the bond between grower and consumer is strengthened.

Sustainability First

By reducing transport distances, we lower our carbon footprint and promote ethical, season-focused farming practices.

Supporting the Local Economy

The Callicoon Farmers’ Market is more than just a place to shop—it’s a vital engine for our local economy. By providing a direct-to-consumer platform for farmers and makers within 75 miles, we ensure that your dollars stay within our community, supporting sustainable livelihoods and regional agricultural resilience.

Every purchase you make strengthens the bond between producer and participant, fostering a healthy, transparent food system that prioritizes community connection and ecological stewardship over industrial efficiency.
